Huge growth patterns in markets -- more commonly known as "bubbles" -- have a remarkable timing signature common to every single one of them - they all have lasted 64 or 65 months from initial growth to blow-off top.

Over the last 14 years, house prices in Canada have increased by 150%, twice as fast as in the U.S...[and] far outpacing household incomes. Any increase in interest rates would prick the bubble, and its implosion would trigger all sorts of mayhem to the point that the Canadian government has expressed concerned that such an event would be a significant risk to the "stability of the financial system".

A true solution to both fiat currencies and the shock of their demise exists right now, if only the leaders of the world’s nations were able to recognize it. Believe it or not, it's the Mexican Libertad. Let me explain its design and usage and how it could easily become the foundation of a new non-fiat international currency.

Look for huge volume and accumulation in gold and silver over the next few weeks and in some high quality junior mining stocks. Negative capitulation followed by strong accumulation could be the indicator that the smart money expects gold and silver to bottom. The question for many is when this will occur. It should be soon as this correction in the junior miners has been one of the worst and longest in decades providing possibly a once in a generation buying opportunity.

The ultra-wealthy are able to stay ultra-wealthy for a reason, and they are usually a step or two ahead of most of the rest of us, so do they know something that we don't? Yes, like any rational person should be able to see, they realize this financial bubble is going to end very, very badly and are making moves to protect themselves from the inevitable chaos that is coming.

Who knows how long before the Dow Jones Index finally receives a well overdue market enema, but I can assure you of this, when it arrives it will be a VERY messy occasion!

With valuations stretched, investors seem to be justifying their stock purchases here with the argument that we have yet to reach the mania of 1999-2000 but history has shown us that there doesn't have to be a bubble for there to be a sharp decline in stocks. As we saw in 2007, it doesn't mean there is no risk of a significant market decline or that valuations are compelling and that investors should be expecting above average long-term returns from here. They should not.

It never ceases to amaze me just how dumb and misinformed financial commentators are, often looking in all the wrong places for script, when the fact is that stupidity, greed, and stubbornness runs rampant amongst paper market gold speculators.

There is an idea floating about to stimulate the economy via providing cash directly to consumers. It may just be a trial balloon at this point, but I expect the idea to gain traction. Here's why.

Investors commonly assume that rising interest rates adversely impact the gold price, and vise versa. They believe that a rising interest rate environment is indicative of a strong economy, which is supposed to drive investors out of gold and into the stock market. They further assume that investors will want to exchange their gold, which has no yield, for stocks and bonds, both of which have yields and generate income but this intuition is unfounded.
